Designed and developed by the German photographer Dr Guido Schoeldgen and his wife Annette DAYS AT SEA became an epitome of peace, art and lifestyle.They were looking for an "all over the year" Beach Retreat in South Africa with a warm ocean, sandy beaches and a malaria free subtropical nature as a contrast to Cape Town's busy city life and the ice-cold Atlantic.

After finishing architectural masterpieces in Germany, Ibiza/ Spain and Cape Town it took them nearly two years to finish the exiting DAYS AT SEA BEACH LODGE. The Lodge opened only in November 2008 and was 5 Star rated by the TGCSA. In August 2009 the famous independent Klocke Book "The 100 most beautiful Hideaways Hotels of the World" stated DAYS AT SEA as one of only three South African places.

With direct access to a beach, Days at Sea Beach Lodge features an infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean. It offers luxurious suites and villas on Trafalgar beachfront and has a spa that offers a variety of treatments.

With a terrace with sea views and free WiFi, each air-conditioned accommodation is equipped with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower, bathrobe and free toiletries. The suites have a coffee machine and minibar.

Breakfast is served daily in the dining area, including hot beverages, sweet pastries, and a selection of warm dishes. The restaurant serves fusion cuisine with Mediterranean and Asian influences.

The San Lameer Golf Course is an 8-minute drive from Days At Sea Beach Lodge and Southbroom is 9 km away.
